Description
Bureau Veritas seeks to hire a Building Inspector/Plans Examiner in the Athens, GA area.
Requirements
· ICC Residential and Commercial Combination Inspector certifications
· Working knowledge of the ICC, CBC, and applicable local codes
· GSWCC Level 1B Certified Inspector
· Prior inspection experience of new residential developments and new commercial construction
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
· Must be a team player and able to work well with clients and co-workers
· Must possess problem solving skills
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Working knowledge of office computer software – Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
· 2-5 years of experience as a certified inspector performing multi-code building inspections, plan review or equivalent combination of education and experience
· High School Diploma
Preferred
· Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
· Associates Degree (preferred)
