JOB PURPOSE

Assist in coordinating the effective & efficient management of Raw Materials (RM) across the assigned Fashion Supply Chain (Product Supply). Contribute in driving quality assessment, technical development, as well as commercial relationships with suppliers. Participate in the upstream risk management during developments. Fulfill high quality standards, ensure competitive cost in partnership with Product Supply teams and develop technical and commercial relationships with suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

·  Establish collaborative partnerships with suppliers, ensuring timely 2 way communication to accomplish material technical development and commercial tasks
·  Assist in the end to end management activities of the supplier base  including but not limited to selecting & on boarding, negotiation, risk management, production, capacity management, performance, excess & exit
·  Track supplier performance in line with KPIs set
·  Review supplier performance management feedback & agree appropriate response mechanism
·  Report on KPIs
·  Build and maintain strategic industry links

RM RISK ASSESSMENT

·  Develop a working knowledge of Burberry performance standards for Raw Materials
·  Learn to analyse and interpret Material technical characteristics (construction, finishes, ...)
·  Coordinate submission of Material Specs and Development Test reports from Suppliers
·  Keep systems updated with the relevant supplier and RM information
·  Communicate Technical approval of Materials to Product Engineering & Development teams
·  Execute technical approval process under supervision, including validation of material Specification and  development testing results
·  Drive tracking and reporting systems in line with the division critical path
·  Contribute and support sustainable materials and manufacturing in line with Burberry Ethical requirements
·  Contribute to elevate technical knowledge and commercial competency
·  Ensure effective use of systems and maintenance & accuracy of data

PERSONAL PROFILE

·  Degree in Textile Technology or equivalent
·  Sourcing/Procurement experience is a plus
·  Quality Management experience is a plus
·  Strong analytical ad organisation skills
·  Curious about technologies and engineering
·  Resilient, dedicated and social
·  Eager to create partnerhisp both internally and externally
