Coronary heart disease is Northern Ireland’s (NI) single biggest killer but British Heart Foundation NI is leading the fight against it. Our communications and public affairs teams in Belfast are looking for an intern with a passion and enthusiasm for communications, public affairs and event planning, to help drive forward our public and political engagement.
This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain experience in a dynamic public affairs team.

About the role

Working closely with the Communications and Engagement Manager and the Policy and Public Affairs Manager you will plan, prepare and deliver exciting science engagement events. You will be providing support on policy development, media support, influencing plan and general administration support.
About you

The successful applicant will show a willingness to learn and develop their skills and an eagerness to contribute to a team environment.

With a can do attitude you will have excellent communication and organisational skills able to get involved in key projects with the team and develop strong relationships with key contacts both within and outside of the organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading charity and get some valuable hands on experience.

Flexible hours are available for someone to work 2-3 days per week in this position
