The jobholder will be working within GBS Europe, BAT’s Finance Shared Service Centre for Western, Central and Eastern Europe, AsPac, Americas and AME regions. The role is based in Bucharest and reports to the GBS Europe P2P manager and takes full responsibility for the delivery of services to the customers of GBS.

 

Job purpose and key deliverables:

·  Review monthly reporting of KPI’s in order to ensure they are reported accurately and as per the agreed timetable whilst ensuring that any anomalies are investigated and explained;
·  Ensure monthly reporting is completed on time and that exceptions have been investigated and explained.  If required, present performance summary at monthly performance review meetings;
·  Ensure all controls are being adhered to and reviewed and that any discrepancies or issues are being actively managed;
·  Monitor resource use and ensure that resource allocation is being managed effectively enabling the team to meet agreed Service Level Agreements;
·  Set clear annual performance objectives for direct reports and carry out performance reviews against the objectives as per the agreed schedule, ensuring that the team have clear direction and know what is expected of them;
·  Support new scope expansion activities and systems implementations, enabling the HoF to deliver against company plan;
·  Develop own managerial skills as identified and agreed in personal development plan;
·  Develop and coach the Team Leaders technical and managerial skills, supporting their career development;
·  Work with AP Team Leader to develop, train and coach the Accounts Payable team, ensuring that there is a clear succession plan in place;
·  Develop good working relationships with peers within P2P and other functions within the GBS in order to facilitate knowledge sharing;
·  Establish and maintain a good working relationship with key contacts in end markets;
·  Work with team to identify and implement process improvements that will improve the overall efficiency of the AP Process and/or improve the control environment;
·  Work with peer members from other departments, to improve the overall efficiency of the GBS processes and/or improve the control environment;
·  Ensure customer satisfaction scores are maintained, EM issue lists are up to date and aged issues resolved;
·  Ensure service delivery against formal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

 

Requirements:

·  Management/supervisory experience of subordinates in this specialised environment is preferred;
·  Essential Knowledge and Experience in finance/procure to pay, ideally gained within a similar environment in a multi-national corporate, is required in order to have a smooth and quick learning curve;
·  Advanced English skills;
·  Proactivity and organized in daily way of working, good time management;
·  Very customer oriented, able to manage and drive calls/TPs/meetings/visits/initiatives with different stakeholders at all levels (Top Leadership, EM)ensuring customer relationship is maintained at the expected level of performance.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·  The Annual and Half Yearly Appraisals of direct reports;
·  Regular reviews of the training and development needs of subordinates;
·  The delivery of all KPI measures in accordance with GBS wide timescales;
·  Maintaining appropriate operational relationships with our business partners ;
·  Ensuring the Team is represented as appropriate at (for example) Project Meetings/Conference Calls, Performance Review Meeting.
