Role synopsis

The PKI Protection Analyst role has been created to provide support in the management of PKI environment. Focus is to ensure that services are available and are managed as a consistent/fit-for-purpose set of security controls.

Key accountabilities

The key accountabilities of the role can be grouped as follows:

·  Support Subject Matter Expert in PKI technologies including security controls, configuration and management.
·  Achieve excellence in the logical security protection of the PKI environment and services.
·  Estabilish on-gong performance management, reporting and stakeholder engagement as necessary.
·  Working in conjunction with Segment/Function teams to identify the need for change to improve effectiveness, cost efficiency, and address gaps due to new & emerging threats.
·  Support the necessary change processes by conributing to risk and business cases; establish initiatives and projects for change and provide leadership and coordination of these activities. .
·  Work closely with the BP Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) professionals who monitor for and respond to serious cyber intrusions and assist in investigation activities across Digital and Group Security teams. Drive close working relationships with service delivery teams and Digital Secuirty & Risk teams to effectively respond to global incidents.
Essential Education

A degree level qualification in Business, IT or Security or equivalent experience.

Desired profile

Essential experience and job requirements

·  At least 3+ years' experience in PKI security or PKI operations position
·  Track record of running agile security operations and innovative security in a large multinational organization.
·  Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills to ensure effective change management across the segment / function.
·  Ability to understand the business context and technology manage uncertainty and apply appropriate solutions in response to differential risks and needs.
·  Strong skills to work within a high performing team of experts.
·  Ability to apply risk based decisions balancing cost/opportunity and risk.
·  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively across a wide range of stakeholders. Proven ability to explain security issues in business language and business issues in security language. Ability to articulate and communicate intelligence on adversaries, campaigns and threats facing BP.
·  Excellent inter-personal skills.
·  Ability to inspire engagement in people through leading by example and cultivating a culture of transparency and staff influence.
·  Capable of producing high quality output with a strong focus on attention to detail.
·  Proficient knowledge of good security practice including: ISO 27000 series, IT Security compliance issues, and/or security techniques and technologies in use within BP.
