The Hydrocarbon Value Chain Operations Analyst III job exists to ensure financial obligations set out in contracts are satisfied through the generation of accurate and timely sales invoices to customers and payments to vendors.

Key accountabilities

• Provide deep process domain expertise for Hydrocarbon Value Chain Accounting processes to support operations delivery, quality management and control.
• Work closely with the wider Tower Leadership Team and related business partners to define and implement Define, Own, Source, and Operate (DOSO) strategies for GBS.
• Support Team Leads and Service Delivery Managers in monitoring all Hydrocarbon Value Chain Accounting processes where applicable and by providing accurate and timely management information and reconciliations as required in support of GBS strategic initiatives related to end-to-end process ownership and overall process efficiency.
• Review changes in the regulatory environment, determine impact and communicate the same to the relevant partners and stakeholders. Regularly lead and track efforts to proactively manage associated risks and update the relevant supporting procedures.
• Liaise with business partners to understand their reporting requirements and tailor solutions to provide them critical management insights for making informed business decisions.
• Analyze, determine root cause and apply appropriate resolutions to routine and chronic problems, complex customer issues and new initiatives across all facets of the Hydrocarbon Value Chain Accounting process.
• Identify and analyze process and system improvement opportunities, develop short term workaround solutions or provide recommendations for permanent solutions and take a leading role in initiating and managing projects to deliver these solutions.
• Lead additional projects related to new initiatives or enhancements, the implementation of policy changes, new GBS scope and other applicable process and system changes. Work closely with operations, customers, stakeholders and enabling teams to help initiate this change activity.
• Drive best practices globally by working effectively with other Lead Analysts and Lead Service Delivery Managers both within and outside of the Tower. Work collaboratively with the wider GBS team from enabling and central groups.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders to ensure that related issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Proactively engage with key vendors/ suppliers to identify new opportunities for value creation.
• Point of contact for escalations related to service level requirements, service issues, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor key reports and metrics to ensure delivery of service in accordance with the Service Line Agreement.
• Work with Accenture to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, records or processes associated with services provided.
• Provides quality assurance to leadership around end to end process documentation (updates and enhancements).

Essential Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business related area

Desirable criteria and qualifications

• 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• SAP experience.
• Prior experience working with pricing engines such as Marketview.
• Supply and trading experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Access).
