Role synopsis

The HR Coordinator is a member of the Petrochemicals HR team. Reporting to the site HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is a resource for the HR Manager and site to support the entirety of the HR agenda. The role provides a full range of HR support, involving sensitive and confidential information, in the areas of data management, HR policies and processes, resourcing, payroll, reward, and performance management.

Key accountabilities

•Perform standard HR tasks on behalf of the HR team, action specific requests, ensure accurate employee data and liaise with the HR Service Center to resolve issues.
•Provide support to the HR Manager for the annual HR calendar & standard activities with a heavy emphasis on analysing data and providing insights and recommendations based on that data:
Year end performance calibration & reward process : Run employee reports and provide data analysis / slide decks for HR Manager in preparation for calibration meetings; support calibration meetings, taking notes, making changes in the system etc.; review My Plan documentation for robustness and coach line managers as needed on improvement; act as co-ordinating tag with Group Reward teams to be the point of contact for all year end activities and queries; complete data validation activity in SAP
Talent Review : Run employee reports and provide data analysis of trends / slide decks for HR Manager in preparation for talent review meetings; support talent meetings, taking notes, making changes in the system.; complete data validation activity in SAP;
Resourcing : screen resumes and/or participate in interviews for I/J roles as needed; track key milestones for hiring; liaise with the Resourcing Team to ensure good candidate experience; liaise with International Mobility Team (IM) to support smooth initiation and repatriation of expat assignees; coordinate Graduate and Technician Recruiting onboarding activities.
Organisation change : Support the Controlled Organization; Liaise with the Organization Management Center of Expertise (OM CoE) to manage OM changes and reporting structure maintenance in SAP; track and support severance and separation administration; advise on implications of structure changes; provide data analysis based on demographics and exit interview information
Payroll - Perform Payroll activities for the plant to include: Time entry adjustments in Kronos, payroll bi-weekly closeouts, payroll reporting, and answer payroll questions from employee; manage payments of site-specific programs (e.g. TPM quarterly bonus, Perfect Attendance, Wellness Incentives, ERT/IMT, etc.)
Employee Relations - Get involved in employee relations as needed and with direction from the HR Manager, conducting initial information gathering and/or taking the pulse of the organization; track attendance and discipline program for hourly personnel, ensuring consistency between the areas.
HR Administration - Take ownership of and manage the leave of absence process for the site including time entry, tracking, return to work actions and coordination with Occupational Health; prepare routine and ad-hoc reports, analyse data and identify trends; coordinate efforts with vendor partners (e.g. job posting advertising, safety shoe distributors, etc.); ensure data integrity and records management in compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as BP policy; provide logistical support and assist in planning of meetings.
•Offer process improvement and streamlining ideas in order to improve data reporting and HR processes
•Manage internal and external requests for information including assisting with employee questions / concerns; Goal would be to assign a client group to the incumbent at the appropriate time
•Act as back-up to the HR Manager on the IMT
Essential Education

Bachelor's degree
Desirable criteria and qualifications

•Experience in an HR department is preferred
•Experience with SAP or other large-scale HR Operating systems.
•KRONOS payroll system experience preferred.
•Experience working in a union environment and basic understanding of collective bargaining relationships

Essential experience and job requirements

Technical Behaviors:

•At least 2 years of experience in a corporate or plant setting
•Strong data analytical skills – experience with developing reports and reporting tools and able to effectively analyze data and provide insights around the data
