Role synopsis
· Maintain Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Compliance Management System (CMS) for the Alaska Region supporting Global Operations Organization (GOO), Global Wells Organization (GWO), Global Projects Organization (GPO) and Reservoir Development (Res Dev)
· Progress and monitor HSE CMS system in the Region
· Progress, maintain and monitor Environmental Management System (EMS) in the Region against the ISO 14001:2015 Standard.
· Support development and delivery of HSE compliance tasks
· Support line self-verification of the Regulatory Compliance (RC) system in Region related to HSE requirements

Key accountabilities
Advise the Upstream on continuously improving HSE-related performance
· Coach the Regulatory Compliance & Environment (RCE) team, contract personnel and other in Region compliance personnel on conformance and HSE regulatory compliance requirements.
· Support implementation of Operating Management System (OMS) 7.1 (Regulatory Compliance).
· Provide relevant technical advice on CMS practices.
· Provide guidance to GOO, GWO, GPO and Res Dev on matters of CMS rule interpretation and task completeness.
· Conduct regular communications to engage task owners and workforce on CMS and notify them of new requirements.
· Liaise with HSE Team Leads to ensure timely closure of compliance tasks and escalate issues when required.
· Monitor in Region Environmental Performance.
· Prepare dashboards and reports on compliance Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for RCE team and Planning and Performance teams.
· Create and maintain actions in CMS as required.
· Develop actions and document accountabilities for compliance tasks; identify applicable legal and regulatory HSE requirements; propose appropriate compliance tasks to meet HSE requirements; update tasks in CMS as requested by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Conduct HSE-related self-verification and supporting self-verification plans
· Conduct verification activity as to whether the operation complies with applicable HSE legal and regulatory requirements
· Facilitate implementation of self verification as to the effectiveness / status of the CMS by compiling and maintaining in Region KPIs to demonstrate conformance against OMS 7.1 (Regulatory Compliance).
· Conduct verification activity on a regular basis as to whether the CMS system functions appropriately and identify opportunities for improvement
· Liaise with HSE professionals to support their regulatory compliance verification activities
· Conduct verification activity as to whether local conventions are consistent with Global BP tools and workflows
· Oversee the quality of HSE compliance incident investigations Issue and maintain HSE-related procedures and guidance
· Maintain controlled documents as Document Custodian per in Region Document Control procedure
· Maintain CMS tools and update task assignments for personnel and organization changes Conduct HSE-related activities in support of OMS conformance and HSE regulatory compliance
· Participate in the HSE CMS Network and share learning with other regions
· Upload new tasks and rules in the CMS tool
· Develop and deliver CMS training and awareness sessions based on specific needs of target audiences
Essential Education
· Bachelor Degree required, preferably in an HSE discipline, Science or Engineering.
Desirable criteria and qualifications
Prefer strong working knowledge of Alaska Oil & Gas HSE regulations, experience with BP systems, and HSE professional qualification.
