Description of assignment
The role:
Reporting to the Shift Lead
To assist with Hard FM activities by carrying out the technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned and reactive maintenance, project works and the forward capital maintenance programme
To hold a minimum of three AP/RP roles for the site (after relevant training)
To liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors in order to maintain the contractual service levels and best value.
To ensure procedure is followed for all works clearance certificates and work permits, method statements and risk assessments
To assist where required with operational budgets for Hard FM
To liaise with the Procurement team with regard to negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors
To assist with the implementation of energy saving campaigns to promote the efficient use of energy utilities
Includes assisting with the management and administration of on-site company IT. Systems i.e. Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Management Systems and Stock Control System in order to ensure that the systems are up to date
Hours – 4 days on and 4 days off (12 hour shifts)
The person:
Will have significant experience in a similar role in a building services environment
Will hold a BTEC, HNC (or equivalent) qualification in electrical / mechanical engineering supported by a management qualification
Able to demonstrate knowledge of the trade groups to be managed i.e. building works, mechanical and electrical engineering
Good communication and customer service skills, including good IT skills
Able to obtain DBS clearance, due to possibility of working alongside vulnerable adults and/or children
