Description of assignment

·  Reporting to the Facilities and Services Manager
·  To receive and record all items of property requiring safe storage as well as retrieval of the items when requested in a timely fashion
·  To ensure that the stores are kept clean and tidy at all times and to make arrangements with officers to destroy or dispose of stored items which are no longer required
·  To ensure strict adherence to MPS property manual and procedures
·  The hours for this post are 40 hours per week, 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Profile

·  Good communication and interpersonal skills with a diligent customer service attitude
·  Will have excellent record keeping and problem solving skills
·  Able to work independently and in a proactive manner, with the ability to manage own time to ensure activities are completed within agreed time frames 
·  Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
·  Subject to security vetting by the Metropolitan Police
