We are currently looking to recruit a Requirements Management Engineer (m/f) for our site in Derby

Purpose of the Role

You will be part of the Vehicle Engineering team in charge of Product Definition and performance on a project or platform. You shall contribute to the following Requirements Management activities performed by the engineering team along the full V-cycle phases:
• Definition of the requirements input documents from the stakeholders (except for certification notified bodies);
• Identification of the requirement in the input documents (except the certification and safety ones);
• Clarification with the different stakeholders for all the not “SMART” input requirements;
• Adaptation of the standard RBS (Requirement Breakdown Structure) to project or platform needs;
• Organization of all the input requirements into RBS, synthetize them in order to allow easy and fast GAP analysis;

• Process Management and Maintenance to enable the following:

o Requirement GAPs analysis: ITT vs Product RBS and Clause By Clause analysis during tender phase
o Design maturity risk evaluation for each input requirement and ensuring action plans are elaborated around these risks with regular reporting status and progress
o RBS requirements allocation to train level specifications or subsystem level specifications;
o Verification of the requirements developed at train level;
o Verification of the requirements developed at subsystems level;
o Verification of the allocation of the developed requirements to subsystems made from the transversal performances experts;
o Change and the configuration management for requirements in all the deliverables of vehicle engineering (database and documents);

Your Main Goals:
• To ensure that a complete and correct and consistent set of technical requirements are captured and then developed at train and subsystem level in the context of a project or platform development,
• To enable the development and correct integration of the suitable train architectures, concepts and design solutions, as to meet them in the form of a class leading, competitive and compliant rolling stock design.

Desired profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Chartered status
• Relevant work experience with requirements management/processes, in a complex industry
• Experience in working with requirements management applications, such as DOORS, is necessary
• Knowledge of requirements management processes
• Proven track record of problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
