Job description

We are currently recruiting for our subsidiary in Bangkok, a Solution design engineer within the Supply Chain solution team.
Job Responsibilities
1/ Logistics commercial
- Organize and trigger meetings to create and/or preserve customers relationship, advertise SDV actions
- Propose and develop innovative solutions
- Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
- Provide quotation for ad-hoc requirements
- Ensure invoicing is made properly and follow-up on payment issues (with the help of Finance department)
- Renew contracts and renegotiate rates
- Support budget exercise
- Monitor account profitability
2/ Logistics operations
- Prepare monthly and/or quarterly meeting for operational review (volumes, KPI, outstanding events)
- To coordinate and follow-up the different projects execution which each respective project owners.
- Be pro-active in proposing, promoting and developing new solutions and actions linked with operations
3/ Logistics project management
- Manage the good implementation of logistics project secured on various aspects:
o Implementation of operational strategy
o Coordinate with purchasing for suppliers selections and site renovation/installation
o Monitor recruitment advancement
o Monitor WMS design team and eventual interface
- Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers
- Finalize potential commercial issues on contract, quotations
- Handover to operations
4/ Change Management
- Definition lean standard, lean tools and lean presentation for both Logistics and freight activity
- Lead Lean training
- Definition and standardization process
5/ Continuous improvement:
- Process design and re-engineering
- Information system and physical process
- Logistics and Freight Process / design / integration / monitoring and standardization
6/ KPI:
Responsible to define, deploy, monitor and analyze KPI
- The Logistics and Freight Solution Engineer will be responsible to review existing processes of an operation, in view of improving efficiency/ productivity
- For each major recurrent process, analyse every step for relevance and room for improvement (time-motion studies)
- Research best industry practices and evaluate how they could be applied to the operation
- Document and review existing processes, procedures & their applications
- Propose improved processes based on the above studies, with eventual use of additional tools
BASIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
- 1 to 2 years of experience in related industry
- Must be able to work independently and as well as a team player
- Good interpersonal skills
- Goal oriented individual, motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to multi tasks
- Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
- MS Suite proficient
- Capacity of analysis and synthesis
- Fluent in english
