We are currently recruiting for our subsidiary in Manila, Phillippines, a:
VIE Logistics Project Engineer M/F (12 months)
Within the Supply Chain Solutions Team and reporting to the Head of Logistics Development, your main responsibilities involve:
Logistics commercial
- Organize and trigger meetings to create and/or preserve customers relationship, advertise SDV actions
- Propose and develop innovative solutions
- Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
- Provide quotation for ad-hoc requirements
- Ensure invoicing is made properly and follow-up on payment issues (with the help of Finance department)
- Renew contracts and renegotiate rates
- Support budget exercise
- Monitor account profitability
Logistics operations
- Prepare monthly and/or quarterly meeting for operational review (volumes, KPI, outstanding events)
- To coordinate and follow-up the different projects execution which each respective project owners.
- Become the customer point of contact for non-daily operational issues
- Inform and communicate on BLX actions to provide better service, in liaison with the Lean Manager & operations
- Be pro-active in proposing, promoting and developing new solutions and actions linked with operations
Logistics project management
- Manage the good implementation of logistics project secured on various aspects:
o Implementation of operational strategy
o Coordinate with purchasing for suppliers selections and site renovation/installation
o Monitor recruitment advancement
o Monitor WMS design team and eventual interface
- Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers
- Finalize potential commercial issues on contract, quotations
- Handover to operations
Profile:
You hold a Master’s Degree and have a minimum of two-year work experience in Logistics and Forwarding business:
? Excellent in gathering and interpreting relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
? Excellent in investigating problems, finding root causes, and developing solutions
? Excellent in developing periodic performance reports and distributing them to stakeholders
? Excellent in monitoring contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers
? Excellent in providing analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
? Good in coordinating delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
