MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and negotiate equity derivatives transaction documentation;

Review and negotiate custom index documentation, including licenses, rule books and disclosures

Address various equity derivatives / custom index documentation-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and clients;

Maintain negotiation trackers and update relevant internal systems with status of negotiations;

Participate in ad hoc derivatives documentation and regulatory projects as needed.

Qualifications :

TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE




JD Degree or equivalent

Two (2) + years of law firm or in-house experience

ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual : English and French

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

Experience in negotiating derivatives and/ or securities offering documentation;

Familiarity with recent US and cross-border derivatives regulatory framework, including Dodd-Frank and EMIR requirements for various types of trades and products;

Excellent oral and written communication, analytical and organizational skills;

Ability to work well in a team, handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload and complete assignments efficiently with the sense of urgency and attention to detail;

Ability to work across the organization as required and maintain high standards of professionalism in all dealings with team members and internal/external clients;

Technical: Microsoft OS (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
