BNPP Lisbon branch is an offshore center of excellence for BNPP CIB. It is a fully-fledged corporate office of 400+ CIB employees with an expanding remit due to the quality of support provided by the location. Within Global Markets support there are Data Specialists, Quantitative Researchers, Sales/Trading Support, Product Marketing, Administrative Assistants, and Digital Design teams.

BNPP Global Markets Americas is looking to build a dedicated desk analysts team in Lisbon to support the Prime Solutions & Financing (PS&F) Global Business Line (GBL). Designed to become a leading multi-asset execution, clearing and financing powerhouse, the Prime Solutions & Financing GBL includes all Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, Funding, Derivatives Clearing and agency execution activities of Global Markets, across asset classes.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The new team in Lisbon will work closely with the PS&F Americas Front Office. This team will be focused on business analytics, data reporting, and projects implementation to better position the business for their current and future needs. A primary focus of the role will be assisting in improving funding efficiencies and meeting client demand through improved data availability, business analytics, and ultimately through enhanced data and business processes, starting with creation of a golden source of data and enhanced visibility for the Financing Desk of its current and predicted inventory and client demands. Ability to work with data and coming up with improved data models will be important. A successful candidate should have strong communication skills, ability to learn quickly, and focus on delivery in a fast paced environment. The job will require interaction with Front Office, Technology, Project Management, and Quantitative Research teams.

Main tasks of the job will be :
- Perform business analysis and create business requirement documents
- Create data visualizations on platform, client, and market data
- Perform data analyses and reconciliations required to create a golden source of data
- Assist in the digitization of terms from client contracts
- Assist / support all the automation projects managed by the desk
- Assist with production of reporting (report generation, data issue, IT management)
- Ability to work New York (Eastern Time Zone) hours to support communication and collaboration with team, at least several days a week

It is a plus if the candidate has knowledge of the Global Markets business and infrastructure.

PROFILE

Educational Background:
· Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, etc.) from a Top Tier international Business School or equivalent university
· 1-4 years of relevant experience such as in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and the associated support roles for these areas of Finance

Preferred Industry Experience:
· Knowledge of the Prime Brokerage and securities lending business
· Experience in investment banking is an advantage
· Knowledge of Securities Financing transactions (stock loan, equity swaps, etc.)
· Experience with current regulatory framework

Core Knowledge and Skills:
· Strong communication skills
· Perfect fluency in English
· Quantitative, analytical and logical problem solving skills
· Must be comfortable manipulating and working with large data sets
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite
· Ability to code is a strong plus
· Ability to manage multiple projects and respect multiple deadlines
· Ability to work independently and with business partners in on boarding and executing new projects
· Very strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills
· Programming languages such as VBA, R, SQL, or Python
· Business intelligence tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
· Financial analysis tools such Bloomberg
· Knowledge of databases

Ability to travel to New York for an extended period of 3 months for on-desk experience and training
