Position Purpose

· Direct contribution to the Bank's operational permanent control framework

Key Responsibilities

1. STRs

· Collect and analyze the STRs filed in APAC and perform post STRs follow-up checks across the APAC region (incl. name search, follow up on FS & termination status, compilation of the STR master file for the region);
· Act as main point of contact to other BNPP investigation teams (eg. ISAR Team, US investigation team etc.) to perform name searches for the APAC region
· Collect the FSI for the APAC region on a monthly basis and prepare the related reporting

2. Lists management

· Provide advisory support and coordinate:
· the lists management process in APAC (incl. the review the ID cards and the coordination with the BIU team)
· requests from APAC territories to GFS Paris and/or US in relation to the Group lists (AML and Sanctions-related)
· Manage and clear the hits related to a new onboarding against the APAC AML Watch-List
· Coordinate and review the hits against the Group AML SOL List in the APAC region before escalation to GFS Paris

3. AML/CTF Framework in APAC

· Provide advisory and administrative support to improve BNPP AML/CTF detection framework and tools & strategy for the APAC region
· Provide advisory support to the APAC FS Sanctions Advisory team on the sanctions framework, when required
· Participate and contribute in relevant Group/Regional initiatives, projects and committees on (i) AML/CTF, (ii) external corruption, (iii) non-complex sanctions and (iv) and transversal FS related topics

4. Norms and Procedures

· Provide reasonable assurance to FS APAC Head that AML related norms and procedures of the group are effectively implemented and transposed
· Provide advisory support and coordinate:

i. The Group-AML/CTF-related policies

ii. Non-complex Group sanctions-related policies; and

iii. Transversal Group FS-related policies'

consultation, feedback and implementation within APAC Region

(together the Group Policies under the NAP Team Remit );

· Provide support, review and coordinate the end-to-end process relating to exception request(s) and/or derogation request(s) for the Group Policies under the NAP Team Remit;
· Broadcast new Group Policies under the NAP Team Remit and sanctions-related Bulletin to the relevant stakeholders in the APAC region;
· Maintain the FS library with the main AML/CTF and sanctions-related Group and local procedures and policies;
· Act as main point of contact for documents request(s) on AML/CTF and sanctions-related topics arising from Inspection Generale and/or regulators

5. Reporting; risks assessments

· Provide support to the APAC Head of AML Adv., NAP & Corporate Coverage Compliance to animate the new APAC AML Steerco
· Represent the APAC region in the various BNPP committees relating to AML/CTF and external corruption
· Prepare the AML annual activity report for the APAC Region
· Contribute to the reporting of AML/CTF topics for the APAC region (incl. GFS Board and CCIRC)
· Act as main point of contact, coordinate and/or contribute to regulatory requests (from APAC regulators or ACPR)
· Contribute and coordinate to the Group/CIB Compliance Procedures reporting led by CCRM
· Contribute, coordinate and validate (either as Contributor or as Controller 2) the FS risks assessments for the APAC region (Agora, FS Compass, Risk Classification and RCSA); and
· Contribute to the US Annual Due Diligence Recertification questionnaires on behalf of the APAC territories

6. Training

· Produce generic AML/CTF training material for the APAC Region and review them on a regular basis
· Produce support to the APAC FS Sanctions Advisory team on non complex sanctions, when required
· Review and validate local AML/CTF training material as per the Group requirements
· Organize training on AML/CTF for the FS community
· Organize the yearly (i) FS/KYC Seminar and (ii) the AML Expert Seminar for the APAC region
· Provide assistance to the APAC FS Sanctions Advisory Team in organizing the annual Sanctions Expert Seminar, if needed
· Contribute and participate, if required to internal seminar(s) on FS topics (e.g. new joiners' seminars etc.)
· Coordinate and validate the ACAMS certification process for the APAC region

7. Others

· Provide advisory and support to the CCRM Team in relation to the FS GCP controls on AML/CTF topics
· Generally provide support to the APAC Head of AML Adv., NAP & Corporate Coverage Compliance

Ideal candidate profile



Qualifications :

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

·  University graduate with relevant professional qualifications and at least 5 years ‘hands-on experience in advisory role particularly on key banking products
·  Good knowledge on key corporate and investment banking products such as cash management debt capital market, trade finance and structured finance transactions
·  Good knowledge of the evolving international AML/CFT standard (FATF, EU directives) and key developments as well as understanding of the main AML laws and regulations in APAC (HK & SG at least)
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
·  Robust analytical and risk management mindset
·  Exercise critical-thinking with ability to make strategic decisions based on sound judgement
·  Ability to work independently in a challenging and fast changing environment
·  Agility and ability to change and goal-oriented
·  Asian language capability, especially in Mandarin is desirable, but not essential
