Business Overview:

Valuation & Risk Control (V&RC) is a global function part of ITO Global Markets and under Global Markets Product Control department, whose main missions are:

· In conjunction with Risk-GM (Market Risk), to independently verify and report on the accuracy of market parameters used in the preparation of P&L and Collateral Valuation (IPV – Independent Price Verification).
· To monitor the trading activity based on common standards and the responsibilities and authorities defined in the trader mandates.
· In support of trading management, to monitor “local” risk limits and ensure adherence to Trader Mandates.
· In conjunction with Risk-GM, to ensure that the use of models, parameter sets and calibration parameters is in line with approved set ups.

Responsibilities:

The analyst's role and responsibilities comprise of the following:

· Perform the independent price verification across varied Rates / Fixed Income products and activities.
· Clearly communicate IPV results to stakeholders and produce accurate reports highlighting coverage and analysis of IPV result.
· Enhance existing procedures and process documentation

Candidate will:
· Work within a limited time frame as part of a team and produce accurate month-end corrections. This might require discussion and timely conclusions with the Front Office and Risk-GM related to the quality and accuracy of the reviews.
· Maintain good working relationships and communication with other Product Control teams, Front Office, Finance and Risk-GM.
· Maintain clear and thorough records of all controls and be prepared to present and explain to audit
· Contribute to initiatives within the V&RC function, both within the region and in other locations.
· Adherence to Global V&RC Policies and Procedures and raise issues to management when practices are inconsistent or unable to be followed.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Basic Required Qualifications:
·  Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or one of the hard sciences.
·  2 plus years of relevant industry experience dealing with valuation and pricing..
·  2 plus years of Fixed Income products and their valuation.

Preferred Qualifications:
·  Graduate degree in Financial Engineering, Finance, Economics or hard science.
·  Good IT skills mainly VBA, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
·  Ability to interact confidently at all levels.
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Attention to detail is essential especially when under pressure and time constraints.
·  Ability to see the large picture and the impact the work has on the business.
·  Work cooperatively as part of a team across V&RC both locally and globally.
