This is a seasonal position and may be scheduled for day or evening shifts (Monday through Friday). Seasonal emloyees are generally scheduled July through December, depending on business need.

Job Description Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, this person is responsible for the preparing slurry in accordance to formulas prepared by Quality Control. This includes correct measurements of ingredients contained in the formula.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Must be dependable and cooperative.
· Responsible for the proper rotation of slurry in accordance with formula.
· Must be able to efficiently produce required batches of slurry to meet maximum output at the grinders.
· Must maintain proper records relating to slurry manufacturing.
· Must maintain work area in a sanitary and safe condition.
· Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
· Responsible for collection of slurry left in system at the end of shift.
· Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
· Follows all Safety Rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
· Follow all food safety procedures.
· Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.
· Overtime may be required.
· Must be able to train others.
· May be assigned to other duties.
· Must maintain accurate records.
· Will be responsible for taking Inventory.

Additional Duties Pertinent to this Position

· Set water meters for the amount needed to the specific kind of slurry being made. Then have the water emptied into a blender.
· Add sorbic acid to the blender and obtain a sample for Quality Control.
· Sanitize 20lb bags of whey powder and empty in to blender.
· Obtain new samples for Quality Control and transfer mixture in to tanks for the Grinder Operator.

Preferred candidates will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
