Job Description Summary

The General Labor Employee is responsible for rotating between casing, palletizing, and tray forming.

Essential Duties and Responsibility

· Must be able to count product and neatly stack product onto pallets.

· Make sure final pallets are properly tagged.

· Ensure finished product meets quality standards and specifications.

· Move empty and fill pallets with hydraulic pallet jacks.

· Maintain a variety of records throughout the day.

· Maintain a clean working area during production.

· Assist with clean-up and sanitizing in the department and other areas of production as needed.

· Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the GMP policy.

· Follow all Quality and Food Safety Procedures

· Follow all sanitation procedures and work instructions.
· Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
· Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy
· Follows all Safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others
· Follows all food safety procedures
· Follows all environmental protocols as applicable
· Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions
· Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum education and experience required:

· Requires equivalent of a High School Diploma.
· Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to the operation.
· Ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
· Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as simple hand tools and hand-powered hydraulic material handling devices.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls. The employee is occasionally required to talk and/or hear, reach above shoulders, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in wet, humid conditions, and in proximity to cleaning chemicals, fumes, and air-born particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to cleaning chemicals, and sources of vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Protective Equipment:

Employees must wear personal protective equipment as required which could include a hair and beard net, rubber boots, and ear protection.
