3D Artist Intern (Video Game Design)

BeefJack is searching for an Intern 3D Artist to join its creative research and development team for 1-2 months and work on game projects designed for virtual reality headsets.

We’re a game design, development and marketing company based in London. Working across both client and internal projects, we’re building a suite of game-related services which champion creativity in the world of video games – across web, mobile, PC, console and more.

With decades of combined experience in the games industry and beyond, we’re an ambitious young company with a passion for games and an eye for efficient process. Since BeefJack's launch in 2008, we’ve worked on games for the likes of Camelot, Cadbury, The X-Factor and Celtic FC, as well as a number of successful original IPs, and directed successful marketing campaigns for some of the most highly regarded independent games around.

The Role

We are looking for talented 3D artists with a fresh perspective on game development who want to try and push out the boundaries of what is possible, technically and creatively with the current tools that are available on the market.

Joining our development team, you will be assisting and learning from a highly experienced creative team. We like to build new projects in a “Game Jam” style - working hard and working fast (but having some fun along the way), you’ll be asked to provide insight and ideas of how to create the best and most impressive results from various tools, while working hands-on as part of our creative team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or advanced student in art and visual design, ideally with a focus on 3D (or have similar training in the field).

You will have skills and understanding in poly modelling/UV mapping and have experience with relevant 3D-programs (such as 3DS Max). Knowledge of other tools such as Zbrush is an advantage.

As this is a London based internship, all candidates must be London based. As this is a work experience placement the internship is unpaid, but reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
