What You'll Be Doing - We are seeking a professional like you to provide expertise to the Quality Organization by utilizing your 5 + years of experience in manufacturing and laboratories. You will have accountability for managing the day-to-day manpower assignments, training, time sheet/payroll submittal, ISO documentation maintenance, oversight and approval of raw materials, in-process quality assessments, and approval of products to be moved into packaging.

You will use SAP transactions and other tools to effectively control product quality through the manufacturing process. You will lead the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the laboratories associated with raw material, in-process, and finished product quality specifications, testing, and evaluation. You will prioritize technician assignments, payroll / overtime, and tactical decisions related to production quality in conjunction with other supervisory staff as needed. You will utilize your technical knowledge regarding process controls to ensure products can achieve customer expectations. You will act as primary person accountable for the decision to move or hold production materials from advancing to the next stage of operation. The ability to visually evaluate finished goods to determine if they should be packaged, reworked, or discarded is critical. You will be responsible for escalating and initiating product quality investigations. You will maintain department ISO/ GPM/ and RCMS documents and standards, as well as support site initiatives through internal audit programs, quality investigations, and product performance reviews. Utilizing your leadership skills, you will focus on coaching and developing team members, driving teamwork and accountability, and promoting housekeeping and safety standards within the Quality Control Laboratory.

·  High school diploma, experience working within a manufacturing environment and previous supervisory experience
·  Leadership skills that focus on coaching and developing team members, driving teamwork and accountability, and promoting housekeeping and safety standards
·  Technical knowledge regarding process controls to ensure products can achieve customer expectations
·  General knowledge of ISO/RCMS/GMP standards
Desired
·  Bachelor’s degree is preferred
·  Experience working in a lab environment; familiarity with lab instrumentation and understanding of laboratory standard operating and safety procedures
·  Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
