Description

This position is based at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals' Sdn Bhd, a RM3.4 billion joint venture that combines the innovative strengths and capabilities of two well-established Fortune 500 companies, BASF SE (60%), the world's leading chemical company and PETRONAS (40%), Malaysia’s fully integrated energy company with a wide network of operations around the world. Established since 1997, BASF PETRONAS Chemicals' ‘verbund’ (integrated) chemical production facility is sited in Gebeng, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur. With the current growth in our downstream portfolio, we are integrating the most powerful minds and talented high achievers to drive our outstanding performance as a global leader in the chemical industry. 

 
MAIN TASKS
·  Lead, coordinate and control schedule and cost based on BPC and BASF site practices and guidelines
·  WBS development, assignment and controlling for purchase orders which use for SAP key-in.
·  Working closely with BPC Finance and BPC Procurement for creation of SAP WBS, SAP budget shifting, reclassification and encountered issues in SAP.
·  BASF/ BPC Project Reports (e.g. Monthly Cost Report for SC, Cost Analysis for SC, Risk Register, Quarterly Data Collection, KPI Quarterly Report, SAP PPM Report, etc).
·  Aligned project spending plan as per BASF / BPC guidelines.
·  Preparation for Asset Capitalization and Project Closeout.
·  Facilitate Risk Management and Project coordination meeting.
·  Facilitate interdisciplinary communication within the project team.
·  Timely alarming project team for any delayed activities, provide suggestions/strategies for corrective actions to mitigate delays and come up with joint project team solutions.
·  Involved in MRQ preparation, tender stage, TBE (schedule part), CBE and vendor cost proposal negotiations.
·  Closely monitor & control PSR/CSR/Expediting of all PO’s & CO’s and support on PO closeout.
·  Closely monitor & control Contractor’s EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) works in-line with approved schedule.
·  Eng’g Partner and Construction Contractors progress payment and claims review and validation.
·  Comply and promote safety and IP Protection requirements and good practices.   REQUIREMENTS
·  Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Engineering.
·  Minimum 3-5 years experience in project management sector.
·  Able to manage and coordinate the operational activities at the platform.

·  Able to converse well in English.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
·  Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
·  Proactive, result oriented and a good team player
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP
