Process Technician I (2000195) – Wyandotte, MI

 

Wyandotte’s R&D department is seeking a Process Technician I. The Process Technician I is expected to operate multiple pieces of processing equipment while working with little direction from internal partners and supervisors. Responsibilities includes but are not limited to …

·      Supports team by independently executing multiple tasks              

·      Ability to start up and shut down processes with no, or little help.

·      Certified to use ancillary equipment - fork trucks, blend booths, complicated tools.                        

·     Can perform PM's on most of equipment and blend materials for most chemical blends with little or no oversight.                                      

·     Can perform basic testing such as titration and reactive profile analysis.   

·     Wil be cross trained on at least 2 different process machines

·     Identifies problems and offers solutions.                                      

·     Helps other without being asked and occasionally trains team members on routine tasks                    

·     Works proactively with all R&D/Development personnel to achieve common goals. 

Additional requirements:

·        Knows and works well with internal partners. 

·        Participates in AIMS investigations as needed.               

·        Performs complex repairs with little oversight                                       

·        Safety and 5S champion.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
Basic qualifications:

High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years exp – OR – Associates with minimum of 1 years of experience                               Preferred qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        Capable of standing 8 hours per day.                                         

·        Ability to lift/carry50lbs
