What you can expect

Our Technical Plant and Equipment Monitoring unit is responsible for the inspections and tests that must be performed by testing and inspection organizations on plants and equipment of BASF SE at the Ludwigshafen site that require monitoring and for evaluating the conformity of pressure container systems as the designated body pursuant to the Pressure Equipment Directive.

·  In your role as an expert, you will assume responsibility for the performance of the tests and inspections required by law as well as expert reports on aspects of plant and equipment safety or advice on legal matters.
·  You will work as part of interdisciplinary teams, including with specialists in PCE safety technology, materials scientists, experts on non-destructive testing and welding specialists.
·  In addition, you will monitor changes and further developments in plants and equipment on an ongoing basis and will engage in subject-specific sharing of experience with colleagues and specialized bodies.

What we expect

·  You have a degree in chemical engineering, process engineering or a comparable discipline.
·  Experience with the operation, planning and maintenance of process equipment or layout and production of pressure containers, pipes, systems and equipment pursuant to the German Ordinance on Facilities for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water is a plus.
·  You have a great interest in dealing with new topics on an ongoing basis.
·  Teamwork and communication skills and a high level of engagement and personal initiative complete your profile.
