RESPONSIBILITIES

Join the Data Science community within BASF and shape the future of digitalization in Research and Development. As a Data Scientist for Materials Science and related industrial research, you will work with innovative methods on real-world data from applications in synthesis, application testing, as well as production.

·  You will work in an agile team performing both data integration and data analysis over a broad range of projects. Your focus will be on data integration.
·  You will work in close interaction with our partners in Materials Research and Business Units to understand and find solutions to their challenges.
·  You will implement new solutions in close collaboration with an international and interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  PhD in science (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science) or computer science
·  experience in Data Science as well as software development (working with Gitlab, Docker)
·  preferentially advanced experience in working with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases
·  well-profound knowledge of Python and R as applied to data science and web APIs
·  team spirit and willingness to achieve success together
