Import Supply Planner – Resins and Additives – Charlotte, NC

The Resins & Additives business of BASF develops, produces, and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants, and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction coatings, adhesives, cellulosics and composites, and paper manufacturing.  As a member of the North American Supply Chain team, you will drive the overall success of the Resins & Additives business through key collaboration with internal business partners, external key customers and utilizing next generation analytical and collaborative tools.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational and professional background in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, or Operations, you will own and drive the import supply planning process. Successfully communicating across the organization, you will collaborate with key business partners and strengthen the Sales & Operations Planning relationships between our global supply chain colleagues, product management, sales and our end customers. Utilizing your operational experience in ERP systems (i.e., SAP), you will lead the monthly alignment calls with our supplying sites, develop inventory strategies and coordinate movements of finished goods products for our resins and additives imported product portfolio. Demonstrating your leadership and organizational skills, you will lead cutting edge collaboration projects with our distribution network and key customers utilizing next generation technology. Flexing your solid problem-solving and analytical skills, you will review KPI reporting, identify trends and recommends solutions (i.e., days on hand, delivery service and dysfunctional inventory). Your robust knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools will serve you as you drive continuous improvement of the planning process to align with the financial budget and the needs of the businesses/industries. Your strong analytical skills and experience using Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be a valued asset as you present at multiple levels of the organization.
