Objectives

 
Digitalization of Research and Development unit is an integral component of the largest R&D community in the chemical industry. Our mission is increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of R&D as well as of our production assets using digital tools like data analysis and machine learning.

·  Actively drive the integration of digital tools into research, development and technology optimization of chemical products and processes.
·  You help our technologists, plant engineers and operators to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our plants by applying data modeling, machine learning, explorative data analysis, model-based optimization.
·  You will access and analyze plant data and build models for optimization of production conditions via offline and online simulation.
·  You will negotiate and work with various internal and external partners in order to transfer model-based optimizations into daily production operations.
·  You will train models on product quality and research data in order to predict material performance and complex application properties.
·  You will effectively communicate, consult, learn and communicate with colleagues from production (chemical plants), and chemicals and materials research.

What we expect

·  You have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, statistics, data management, solid knowledge of common algorithms like logistic regression, decision tree, SVM, deep learning algorithms like CNN, RNN and a passion for technical challenges.
·  Successful machine learning experience in chemical industry is a big plus.
·  General understanding of chemicals, materials, chemical processes is a big plus.
·  Experience in plant data management, PIMS, LIMS, SAP-QM is a plus.
·  You have master degree or above in computer science, statistics, mathematics or in physics, engineering, in polymer or materials chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, on which you earned above-average marks, or have several years of comparable professional experience.
·  You have professional skills in programming language such as python, R.
·  Your targeted, clear communication style allows you to convey even complex matters to non-experts in an understandable manner.
·  Mandarin, Fluent English
