Job description

Overall Job Purpose

§ Responsible for the design of technical learning components that support the overall business agenda

§ Responsible for the development of products and programmes that ensure global consistency across PCB and execute the Group/ PCB learning strategy and objectives (aligned to the people agenda)

§ Responsible for providing design expertise to the PCB Leadership and Learning function.

Key Accountabilities

DETERMINE/ DIAGNOSE

§ Contributes to the review of existing curriculum against external and internal criteria/success factors

§ Contributes to the identification of cross PCB opportunities and synergies for learning

§ Contributes to the development of learning solutions and materials that meet or exceed business needs.

DESIGN

§ Responsible for the design of new learning solutions or improvement of existing solutions and associated materials

§ Responsible for ensuring all new learning has optimal blend of learning delivery that is within agreed time, cost and quality targets

§ Responsible for designing learning solutions within the PCB learning design framework and materials in line with external best practice

§ Responsible for sourcing quality content from across the Barclays Group, or via external approved Learning Suppliers

§ Responsible for making recommendations to the curriculum lead(s) to rationalise solutions wherever possible

§ Responsible for adhering to HR/Group policies and standards, D&I, governance and internal controls relating to internal activities.

MEASURE, EVALUATE & IMPROVE

§ Responsible for ensuring that the quality of learning design undertaken across PCB meet customer requirements

§ Responsible for reviewing the evaluation MI from learning solutions and works with Curriculum Lead to ensure continuous improvement of learning design.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards .

Person Specification

Essential:

Knowledge and Expertise:

§ Learning solutions design and/ or delivery experience

§ Expert in the design of learning solutions

§ Good working knowledge of delivery of full training cycles – from needs analysis through to evaluation

§ Knowledge of learning frameworks, approaches and interventions

§ Curriculum and accelerated learning and development

§ Vendor management

§ Strong Project Management experience.

Preferred:

§ Prior experience of working in HR roles in large, complex organisations

§ Knowledge of key HR processes, roles and responsibilities.
