Overall purpose of role

The role is to help manage, document and operate infrastructure and reporting solutions for the Credit Risk Reporting and MI with a focus on the Banking book/Primary products within the Credit risk function..

Key Accountabilities

Regular MI Reporting (55%)

· Ensuring that the data is received from all sources in a timely manner.
· Reviewing automated data quality checks on the arriving data
· Running processes, investigating audit and control failures, and escalating problems when necessary.
· Distributing output to customers.
· Responding to ad-hoc information/reporting requests
· Maintain / enhance operating procedures documentation
· Production of Adhoc MI and data extracts (20%)
· Provide accurate and timely production of MI and data extracts in response to work requests from key stakeholders
· Interaction with the stakeholders to ensure that the data/MI produced meets their requirements
· Management of Data (15%)
· Supporting the management, testing and governance of changes to specific databases (for example changes to existing queries/ new queries)
· Data quality management and monitoring
· Supporting the development and support of in-house databases
· Improving Internal Processes/ Quality (5%)
· Identify new opportunities for enhancing/ streamlining service
· Formulate opportunities into proposals and implement
· Initiatives to improve and automate processes to minimize errors and reduce effort

· Comply with the Strategic Analytics Governance Framework & Rule Management Framework when delivering rule monitoring and code development.
· Ensure stakeholders are engaged and sign-off all relevant documents

Person Specification

Your Skills and Qualifications will include

Essential
· SAS programming skills
· SQL programming skills
· Excel Skills, including Excel VBA Programming
· Preferred
· Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions as to accuracy, issues etc
· An understanding of the financial risks associated with retail banking products.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential
· Attention to detail. Must be accurate at all times.
· Experience of developing and documenting models and data processes in accordance with standard development procedures
· Preferred
· Knowledge of Retail Banking products (such as Mortgages, Savings Bonds etc) and amortization of such products.
· Knowledge of specific regulatory requirements relating to data protection and usage.
· Awareness of the economy, and market and customer trends affecting the business
