Fleet
As a Data Architect working within Barclaycard Payment Solutions (BPS) you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of businesses from large corporates to prosumers with taking payments. BPS currently processes 32% of card transaction value in the UK and serves over 100,000 customers. You will be responsible for developing the data models and data architecture of solutions based on the infrastructure and environment which is used to support the BPS Fleet payment gateways.
What will you be doing?
• You will be responsible for developing solutions including a data architecture vision and related costs to meet business requirements.
• You will be working closely with service build, DBA and operational teams at BPS.
• You will be providing technical input into the key design decisions of BPS Fleet with regard to data models, analytics, reporting and data architecture
• You will be developing and maintaining architectural vision for the data models and data infrastructure platform, coordinating with product and engineering teams.
• You will be developing standards for the data infrastructure where applicable and promote best practices for builds and configurations.
• You will be working with other members of the architecture team to ensure knowledge and visibility of other development and architectural changes being envisaged.
• You will be developing and helping to maintain both High and Low Level Design for solutions and make them available to create knowledge and agreement on build requirements.
• You will be ensuring the storage and usage of data meet all relevant security standards and follow best practice.
What we're looking for:
• Strong experience as a data architect developing both HLD and LLD.
• Demonstrable experience of involvement in data models, database design, data analytics and data reporting
• Experience of working in commercial and financial institutions in a regulatory environment
• Experience of the following technologies; Oracle 11g+, MongoDB, NoSQL database technology, Data analytics and Hadoop
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge and experience of Cloud based infrastructures (e.g. Azure, AWS RDS)
• Automation of database scripts and installations in a CI/CD deployment environment
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and PA DSS
• Working knowledge of several database platforms

Situated in the heart of Fleet, Logic house is easily accessible by both public and personal transport. Located less than 5 minutes' drive from the M3. Parking is provided for permanent staff based at Logic House.
