Job Title: Architecture Standards Analyst

Architecture Standards and Governance translates our infrastructure architecture and strategic decisions into a set of consumable patterns, services and products that business change projects can consume. Through this process, we move towards our target architecture. We also provide, maintain and develop a set of software tools and services to facilitate delivery and consumption of the standards in the design process and in managing the technology product set for the enterprise. The team is part of Infrastructure Services and is responsible for facilitating the definition of technology roadmaps, standards and governing the usage of these standards. This is a small team that works up into the business units and with colleagues in infrastructure services. The team own many of the processes and systems which control how Barclays' technology standards are managed.

Your Role

· Conduct operational tasks such as standard pattern reviews and updates, product approval and regular standards and process design sessions.

· Play a significant role in the Continuous Improvement process, developing new features, standards and tools to integrate, automate and innovate within the technology delivery space.

Essential Skills

· Working knowledge of computer technology: networks, databases, operating systems

· Technology related degree or equivalent IT related experience

· Good communication skills, written and verbal

· Knowledge of application development is desirable.

Desirable Skills

· Ability to grasp logic and usage of different technology concepts

· Experience of using Excel and other data analysis tools would be beneficial

· Knowledge on Incident Management, Problem Management and Change management would be beneficial
