Architect Solution Level 1

Job description

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the design of the outcome results to the requirements from the business for IT areas, to respond to a specific business use case, making use of existing IT capabilities and services in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Providing technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a single project i.e. a solution for the business requirements in application / data / technical areas.
· Ensuring quality of the solution designed to meet both, functional as well as non-functional requirements of business.
· Alignment of the solution(s) with the overall enterprise architecture and strategy.
· Translates business requirements into functional requirements.
· Create fit for purpose technology solutions which address the combined requirements of Meeting business need
· Being deliverable within reasonable time and budgetary constraints
· Correspond to Group IT strategic guidance
· Performs in-depth analysis of requests to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives rather than just responding to a pre-defined request,
· Responsible for creating technology solutions to meet business requirements, in line with Group IT Strategies and Architectures.
· Working with the relevant Project Manager or Technology Partner - responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the original solution specified.
· Works with project manager and Group Sourcing to advise on supplier and cost options, and to ensure that the validity of the overall solution is fully represented and considered in any RFI / RFP process, or in the creation and evaluation of proof of concept solutions.
· Working with the relevant project manager, responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the original solution specified.

Desired profile

·  Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, compulsory.
·  Certification in Enterprise Architecture Framework, advantageous
·  Certification in Solution Architecture, advantageous.
·  Minimum 2 years' experience in Financial Services Industry.
·  Minimum 2 years' experience in IT/IT Consulting Experience.
·  Minimum 1 year experience in Enterprise Architecture.
·  Minimum 2 years' consulting/change management experience, advantageous.
·  Exposure in Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery.
·  Exposure in Capacity Management.
·  Exposure in Development.
·  Exposure in Rollout Management.
·  Exposure in Systems Design.
·  No Criminal Record

Preffered Qualifications :

·  Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
