Full time associates provide account service and guidance to Merrill Edge customers. This may include placing trades on behalf of customers, educating them about investment products and services, and assisting clients in taking advantage of the full range of Bank of America and Merrill Edge services. The Trainee will directly report to a New Hire Manager during the duration of their time in the trainee role.

The successful candidate will:

·  Deliver exceptional service to clients by answering general account inquiries
·  Accurately execute and confirm trade orders as well as a variety of securities and account transactions
·  Quickly assess customer objectives and position solutions appropriately and effectively
·  Research and resolve client requests
·  Maintain current knowledge of Merrill Edge products, policies and services while keeping abreast of financial markets and regulations
·  Grasp complex technical material quickly
·  Communicate effectively
·  Establish strong client relationships by exceeding client expectations and following through on commitments
·  Demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial markets and apply key principles appropriately to the individual client's investment needs
·  Uncover additional client needs, deepen existing relationships and refer clients to partner businesses

Enterprise Role Overview

The primary role of the Investment Specialist Trainee is to acquire the necessary licenses and training to become an Investment Specialist. In addition to studying and acquiring 7 & 66, the Trainees will be required to complete the new hire training program, including classroom and on the job training activities. Once a Trainee acquires all required licenses, completes training activities and passes all proficiency assessments, they will transition into a full time Investment Specialist.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Series 7 and Series 66 is required; if not currently held, must be obtained within 120 days

• Communicate effectively

• Strong computer skills with an ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

• Requires basic knowledge of the organization, products and/or services

• Ability to adapt and seek solutions for customers in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to actively listen to clients and demonstrate empathy

• Capable of effectively operating in a team oriented and highly collaborative environment

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and oral/written communication skills

• Capable of multi tasking and working efficiently under stress and high volume

• Previous knowledge of client account services

Must be fully flexible to work any day and shift Monday-Sunday. Training hours will be first shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. However, Please note** After completion of training, the required hours will be third shift, 9:00 PM-7:30 AM.
