Position Description:
Part of a team that develops, implements, and manages the adoption, alignment, and adherence to internal data management policies and standards (i.e., the Enterprise Data Management Policies and Standards) and external regulatory requirements (i.e., Basel Risk Data Aggregation Principles) with specific focus on Data Quality Controls. Team performs an enterprise function covering all of Credit Risk, and has responsibilities for the design, implementation, oversight of Credit Risk data quality controls as well as the development and execution of a data controls quality assurance program.

Position requires close working relationships and consultations with Credit Risk Business and Technology partners to assess current levels of data controls compliance, develop and implement remediation plans of control gaps, and ensure sustainment of data controls compliance.

Key functionality includes the assistance and support of: 1) Assessment of current state data controls across Credit Risk in-scope applications and business processes; 2) Development of control gap remediation plans including the design, implementation and transition of data controls to the respective control owners; 3) Establishment of governance and oversight routines related to control monitoring; 4) Adherence to Enterprise Data Management Policy & Standard Data Quality Control requirements (including data control testing; 5) Relationship management with providers and consumers of Credit Risk as it relates to control requirements and results; and 6) Provide support on the establishment and execution of a data controls Quality Assurance program within Credit Risk.

Enterprise Role Overview:
May manage or supervise a small group. Proactively monitor and remediate incoming data used in risk measurement and reporting. Ensure the completeness, validity, and accuracy of data on a daily basis. Work with business data users to define the use of data within risk systems. Work closely with technology to ensure the timely and accurate operation of risk models and reporting systems. Implement effective risk controls of our data processes and systems. Participate in user acceptance testing of data control processes. Work with other groups as needed, including Middle Office, Sales and Trading, Technology, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Enterprise Capital Management to ensure effective controls over data for GMRM.

Required Skills:
3+ years' experience in one or more of the following: data management, data controls, data mining, data quality rules, etc.
Demonstrated analytical and execution skills
Demonstrated success driving results through effective project management
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and garner consensus from multiple partners
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence and partner with teammates across functional and organizational boundaries
Proven ability to work with technical and non-technical business teams
Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to transform complex concepts into simple and easy to understand presentations
Must be highly motivated, proactive, and a self-starter.
Excellent desktop technology skills including Microsoft Office tools and SQL

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with credit risk and risk reporting processes, preferably across wholesale and retail data domains
Experience with business process design and practical implementation
