Product Design Intern 1 year paid placement (start summer 2019)

Are you on a 'sandwich' degree and looking for a year-long placement?

We are looking to recruit a yearlong Placement Student to join the team of our dynamic product Design consultancy. We work on a diverse range of products in various sectors from ‘electro-mechanical self-serve vending machines with IoT connectivity’ all the way to inventing toys and games. The role will be based at our Bristol studio just off stokes croft. Our Main studio is based in Haslemere in surrey, the candidate will be expected to take occasional trips to the main studio. We are a team of 6 designers, developing and delivering product to start ups, multinationals and everything in between.

This is a paid position.

We are looking for a strong Product Designer leaning more towards the engineering side. Confident to get involved in all aspects of the design process.

Role includes:
Problem solving
Ideation
Detailing
clear efficient communication internally and to suppliers.
Production management
Team working
Creating drawing Packs for prototyping and eventually production handover
Building 3D CAD models in solidworks.
Sourcing components
Arduino literacy and video editing are bonuses
