Typhoon Simulator Instructor Pilot

We are currently recruiting for a Typhoon Simulator Instructor Pilot. Based at RAF Coningsby.

The role has joint responsibility within the Air Service supporting Typhoon Simulator Training as an instructor in the RAF Coningsby Typhoon Training Facility (TTF) under the TyTAN contract and providing Typhoon SME support to the Aircrew Manager at Warton to assist in the design, development and production of Typhoon training material and training solution design and the production and amendment of Typhoon Aircrew Technical Publications

The RAF Typhoon Force is expanding post SDSR and turning more to synthetic solutions to deliver training. The instructional elements are varied and include instructing in both classroom and simulator environments. There is also an increasing call, particularly from the expanding export market, for Typhoon training to be delivered to our overseas colleagues which requires the bespoke design, preparation and delivery of training material and tech pubs..

Your main responsibilities as a Typhoon Simulator Instructor Pilot will involve:

Provision of the full range of ground-based Typhoon pilot training activities in line with TyTAN output requirements including simulator instructor pilot capability and delivery of academic lectures and briefings.

Be fully conversant with Typhoon operations and capabilities.

Liaise with multiple stakeholders, Customer and Company, in order to ensure Customer training capability requirements and expectations are met.

Support the design and delivery of Typhoon aircrew training to UK and export customers, through the Air Service Aircrew Manager.

Support and SME input into Typhoon and Typhoon-related training solution design and sales.

Support to the Air Service in the production and amendment of Typhoon Aircrew Technical Publications.
