Systems Engineer
Would you like to work for one of the world's largest and innovative defence companies? We currently have a vacancy for a Systems Engineer at our site in Rochester.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be working as part of a team of highly experienced, passionate and innovative engineers creating world-leading control and display systems.
This role will provide you with a rare chance to work on and develop a series of projects and products that will be utilised on board commercial and military platforms. Systems include Head Up Displays, Helmet Mounted Displays, Flight Control Systems, Active Inceptor Systems and Mission Systems.
Y our main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:
Understanding our customers' challenging needs and specifying their requirements
Developing complex system architectures and sub-systems to satisfy customer needs
Integrating electronic, mechanical and software sub-systems to provide a fully operating system
Verifying that customer needs will be consistently satisfied in varying and hostile environmental conditions
Your skills and qualifications:
Degree or equivalent qualification in a Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Systems, Electronic or Software Engineering, Physics, Maths) that has required system thinking
Experience in design analysis, modelling or simulation (e.g. Simulink)
Experience of integrating and testing software and/or electronic hardware
