Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Salary: £41,921.90

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance training, this role is responsible for the training and mentoring activities in respect to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) employees. The AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) supervisor will report directly to the TTS (Technical training Solution) Flight Line Specialist to actively supervise all trade groups through the Maintenance of GTA (Ground Training Aids) assets and associated components within the TTS Flight Line Environment. Where required also support the TTS Flight Line operation through co-ordination of Maintenance for Training Devices. These activities are as a direct result of practical training for RSAF Cadets.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

1. Carries a National civilian / military equivalent qualification that includes successful completion of a recognised aircraft maintenance qualification.

2. Extensive aircraft maintenance experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training.

3. Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel.

4. Must have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels.

5. Be able to work in close harmony in a multinational workforce.

6. Must be able to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.

7. Must hold a current driving licence.

8. Good understanding of the RSAF Operation and working practices.

9. Must be computer literate with a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

1. Have experience of the following Aircraft types: Hawk Mk 65, PC9, Jetstream and Tornado.
