Solution Architect

Would you like to work on high profile projects and new technologies? We currently have a vacancy for a Solution Architect at our site in Warton.

As a Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the translation of solution requirements into a coherent Solution Architecture, to be expressed via architecture and design artefacts in accordance with the methodologies, processes and tools defined with the Technical Management Plan(s).

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a number of high profile programmes which add value to the business, while building a strong stakeholder network.

Your main responsibilities as a Solution Architect will involve:

Identifying and evaluating technical solutions that meet the business requirements agreed during the Solution Review and which align with the design standards and constraints defined with the Solution Definition and Architecture Design

Responsibility for the technical integration of IM&T Solutions with other solutions and within the overall programme integration framework and aligned to the IM&T Strategy and in line with programme costs and timescales

Architectural design alignment and integration with the programme's IM&T solution and technology suppliers

Liaising with the technical architect community to support the development of Solutions, including the peer review of technical specifications, solution designs, integration, test and acceptance plans

Ensuring that the technical solutions align with the IM&T functional/application governance standards and solution roadmap(s) as defined and agreed at the IM&T Architecture Review Board

Supporting the verification and validation of IT project test artefacts, including test definitions, review of test evidence, test data, including technical sign-off

Acting as the interface into the technical infrastructure providers for the design of the technology infrastructure required by the projects

Supporting the LCM Design Review process under the direction of the programme's Solution Design Authority

Attend and report into the technical management meetings

Support solution delivery lifecycle reviews as defined with the technical management plan

Your skills and qualifications as a Solution Architect:

TOGAF Certified

Experience in architecture modelling

Business Analyst Qualification or experience

Team management / leadership experience

Agile methodology and delivery experience would be desirable

Experience of toolsets JIRA insight would be an advantage
