Payroll Systems Analyst
Would you like to really shape how the operation runs? We currently have a vacancy for a Payroll Systems Analyst at our site in Portway, Preston.
As a Payroll Systems Analyst, you will be developing a detailed technical understand of the payroll application in terms of its functionality, database structures, data content and all interfaces with internal and external systems; as well as analysing change requirements against existing systems and interfaces.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to have an input into the way the business currently use the system, taking your ideas all the way through from system design, test implementation and through to practice
Your main responsibilities as a Payroll Systems Analyst will involve:
Analysing existing systems and business models and mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems
Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs
Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
Developing solution specifications and related products and presenting solution proposals to appropriate bodies
Overseeing implementation of a new system including data migration
Detailed technical assessment of change requests to identify potential solutions
Overall knowledge of application functionality, structures and interface details to define optimum solutions against change requirements
Identification of future enhancements to improve efficiency of the payroll system and service
Definition and agreement of change solutions with external organisations and/or internal resources
Creation and maintenance of documentation to support all interfaces between legacy and new systems
Creation of project initiation documentation (e.g. Project brief) to support change projects and the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (i.e. tech specifications) that support solutions
Assessing proposed change solutions for both technical and business suitability
Your skills and qualifications as a Payroll Systems Analyst:
Broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming
Knowledge of System Analysis techniques and associated toolsets
Analytical Skills
Good interpersonal and client-handling skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail
Systems implementation experience
An understanding of Payroll Applications – preferably ResourceLink would be desirable

Salary: £34 400 +
