Job Title: Parachute/Fabrication Tech – Supervisor

Grade: 7A

Salary: £41,921.90

Location: Tabuk

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. For such maintenance training, this role is responsible for the training and mentoring activities in respect to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) employees and is responsible for managing the Hawk Para Fab Shop, to achieve the goals of supplying serviceable aircraft to support RSAF requirements.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The efficient day to day running of the Hawk Para Fab Shop including

· Supervision of good engineering practice and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of Hawk Para Fab Shop Work

· Manage the calibration program within his work area

· Direct personnel to carry out TCTO’s and Special inspections as required

· Have a thorough knowledge of Aircraft Safety devices and Aircraft operating areas and ensure staff compliance of associated processes

· Support deployments to other bases within and out of KSA when required and be able to prepare equipment to support these deployments

· Manage and provide functional guidance to the Saudi National Technician Training Programme (SNTTP) programs in respect of any engineering issues that may arise within their work area

· Act as MIIP on any aircraft or ground support technical related issues

· Supervision of tool control and the KFAB SAFO program

· Be able to provide functional guidance to subordinates in respect of any engineering issues that may arise

· Liaise with Aeronautical Engineering Squadron on any outstanding Engineering Assist Requests

· Monitor all supply issues affecting the Hawk Para Fab Shop

· Implementation of BAE Systems human resources policies and procedures when required

· Providing up to date briefings and information to all concerned parties on daily progress and any issues affecting the Hawk Para Fab Shop

· Organising manning to provide an efficient operation of the Hawk Para Fab Shop

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

The Hawk Para Fab Shop Supervisor should meet the following criteria

Essential

· Will be able to demonstrate experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering and have proven supervisory experience in a relevant role

· Must be trained in aircraft engineering or a related technical discipline at a civilian or military school of technical training, or have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship

· Must be a quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues

· Must have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels

· Be able to motivate people in a mixed EE/SN workforce

· Must be able to work on his own initiative to resolve complex technical issues

· Must be computer literate with a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite

· Must be able to spot exceptional ability in SN employees and be able to mentor them to develop within the company

· Support the Superintendents in the assigned work areas during periods of absence by the incumbent

· Must hold a current driving licence

Desirable

· Have a sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to work area

· Must be trained in aircraft engineering or a related technical discipline at a civilian or military school of technical training, or have completed an appropriate engineering apprenticeship. Ideally to include experience in an aircraft maintenance and servicing environment

· Must be a quality minded, mature, individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues
