Early Careers Graduate Leader – 12 Months FTC

Would you like to be part of creating the next generation of talent within the Naval ships business? We currently have a vacancy for an Early Careers Graduate Leader at our site in Scotstoun.

As an Early Careers Graduate Leader , you will be delivering professional HR Services including customer support, recruitment, apprentice & skills training, talent & learning, reward, and payroll for the UK businesses and providing services to businesses with populations in the UK; Applied Intelligence, BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, Electronic Solutions and Head Office.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be fully responsibility of the graduate programme – single specialist for the graduate programme, in a motivating and rewarding environment inputting into the future delivery and strategy of UK wide graduates.

Your main responsibilities as an Early Careers Graduate Leader will involve:

Managing end to end recruitment of graduate and undergraduates working in partnership with recruitment team and business leads (define recruitment needs, input into attraction strategy, co-ordinate assessments, influence on boarding process)

Delivering Induction Programmes of the highest standard for new recruits which serve to motivate, inspire and welcome them to our business and deliver the relevant tools of the job which will enable a smooth transition into their role

Line Managing (where required) local undergraduate and graduate populations

Providing direction to undergraduates, graduates and associated stakeholders on all policy and governance matters related to their associated programmes ensuring both corporate policies are adhered to and local policies are developed and maintained

Facilitating ongoing stakeholder engagement through a series of forums including Graduate Forums and Graduate Functional Manager Forums with a view to maintaining consistent programme delivery and development in line with Business Unit needs

Providing and monitoring the effective safeguarding, welfare and support arrangements for undergraduates and graduates throughout their programme, effectively liaising with key stakeholders in support of this

Acting as the focal point and subject matter expert for all undergraduate and graduate related queries originating from a variety of internal and external sources

Implementing required changes to the programmes with a focus on quality improvement

Your skills and qualifications as an Early Careers Graduate Leader :

Highly motivated training professional with a sound knowledge of delivering excellence

HR/Learning and Development/Early Careers focused background

Effective leadership and coaching skills

Experience of delivering projects from scope to implementation

Highly organised able to manage multiple priorities/projects

You should be a highly effective communicator that is able to translate strategic visions into reality. You must have strong and effective interpersonal skills, be able to manage risk, budget considerations with good commercial acumen.
