E-commerce Officer

Would you like a unique and varied role within the Supply Chain team working on a range of key programmes for the Royal Navy. BAE Systems Naval Ships teams are working on contracts for some of the most advances vessels designed and build or the Navy. We currently have a vacancy for an E-commerce Officer to manage the e-commerce work whilst being based in Scotstoun.

You will be supporting the e-commerce activity within a supply chain environment, the role is that of an e-commerce Subject Matter Expert (SME) capable of supporting and advising its execution through a market leading eSourcing toolset. The SME will support Naval Ships Contract Managers in the delivery of all aspects of eSourcing, including; creating sourcing events (RFx, eAuction, scoring), managing supplier connection and on-boarding.

In this role, your main responsibilities will involve:

Supporting the execution of eSourcing activities in Exostar (or equivalent)

Developing and owning a library of strategic sourcing event, Scoring and Reporting events, such that strategic deliverables can be realised

Supporting the delivery of eSourcing Services covering Event Management, Access Management, Incident Management and Request Fulfilment spanning the full sourcing process

Acting as a point of contact across Supply Chain, Engineering, IM&T, 3 rd party vendors and suppliers

Delivering training to both internal users and external suppliers

Supporting future development of eSourcing Strategies

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Competent user of the current Exostar system ( or equivalent)

Experience in a training or facilitation role would be beneficial

Experience of end to end procurement tendering process
