Accounting Skills Coach

Would you like to work within a rewarding role, unlocking the potential within the apprentices? We currently have a vacancy for an Accounting Skills Coach at our site in Samlesbury with regular travel across the UK

As an Accounting Skills Coach you will be coaching apprentices to reach their full potential. You will provide key support whilst mentoring and challenging the apprentices throughout all areas of their learning journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for coaching and mentoring others.

Your main responsibilities as an Accounting Skills Coach will involve:

Coaching apprentices to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey.

Assessing and monitor learner progress & performance in line with the apprenticeship standards and the occupational expectations of the business

Effectively preparing apprentices towards successfully completing their end point assessment

Accurately maintain and record data in accordance with funding and awarding body requirements and effectively manage the progress and performance of an allocated cohort of graduate apprentices

Effectively plan, support and monitor apprentice placements to ensure clear objectives and alignment to the development of required skills, knowledge and behaviours

Principle Responsibilities / Tasks / Activities

Holistically oversee and deliver an effective programme that utilises a coaching and blended learning approach to train, monitor, develop and assess Level 4 and Level 7 apprentices against the related Finance apprenticeship standards

Lead on the preparation and readiness of apprentices completing their end point assessment and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in this process

Effective communication within the business to ensure all stakeholders involved in the apprentice learner journey are clear on their roles and responsibilities and working in support of the individual learning plan

Providing and monitoring the effective safeguarding, SHE, welfare and support arrangements for apprentices throughout their programme

Effectively manage of the E portfolio system to ensure accurate and timely assessment, target setting and monitoring of apprentice progress

Coaching and development of apprentices through progress reviews, welfare support and careers guidance to aid their progression, attainment and transition into the business.

Your skills and qualifications:

Skilled finance professional with occupational competence

Part qualified / Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA (desirable) or Qualified through experience (essential)

Training & Development qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (desirable)

Assessor Award qualification or working towards (preferred)

Knowledge and experience of assessment/ verification practices and awarding body requirements

Strong coaching skills with effective stakeholder management

Location: Samlesbury - Academy for Skills and Knowledge, with regular UK travel

Salary: £32,118+
