Job description

The Reinsurance Business Support will be part of the Reinsurance and Captive Solutions team within AXA Partners CLP. He/She will be supporting the Reinsurance Value Proposition Leader in the Value Proposition and in Business Development activities, working closely with all key internal stakeholders, yet liaising with external reinsurers with reference to Reinsurance Program Optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support/take responsibility in some of the key actions identified for the development and implementation of the Reinsurance and Captives Value Proposition

• Support in the enhancement of the Reinsurance framework and in the definition of Reinsurance Standards and Best Practices (ie. Underwriting Guidelines; Treaty templates and standards; Governance and process)

• Support/take responsibility in the Reinsurance Program administration and optimization (ie. exposure monitoring; renewal activities; portfolio analysis for recapture and novation studies)

• Provide support in key considerations about Risk appetite and Reinsurance Pricing capabilities (i.e Non-standard reinsurance solutions, such as Structured Reinsurance solutions and Non Proportional schemes)

• Provide support to the Reinsurance Experts in the assessment of Reinsurance Business opportunities, in cooperation with other functions. (i.e Reinsurance Captive Approvals process at AXA Group)

• Responsible for Accounting activities for outwards reinsurance treaties, keeping active relationship with external reinsurers

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Essential skills required :

• Qualified actuary or similar education profile with 3 to 7 years post-qualification experience.
• Good understanding and experience in key insurance and reinsurance subjects. Proven experience in reinsurance underwriting and understanding of Solvency II/Capital management solutions will be a plus
• Fluent in English and French. Any other additional European language (written and spoken) will be a plus
• Good Project Management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross jurisdictional team
