We are looking for our next Reinsurance Analytics & Pricing Actuary apprentice as of 01/09/2026 and for 12 months at our AXA Headquarters!
Location : 25 avenue Matignon, 8th arrondissement Paris.

Within Group Ceded Re Department, you will join the Analytics & Pricing team as a Reinsurance Analytics & Pricing Actuary.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

What You’ll Do:
· Developing a framework and methodology for reinsurance optimization:
· Evaluating prospective and historical profitability of reinsurance treaties and assessing their impact on AXA’s risk distribution
· Integrating outputs from internal CAT and Non-CAT risks modelling with optimization algorithms (such as genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, etc.) to enhance reinsurance structuring and challenge existing approaches
· Collaborate closely with Placement, Risk management and Operations Teams to ensure the tool meets business needs, notably to navigate through the market trends of the reinsurance industry and present the results of your work to the different teams
· Participating in risk modelling processes for AXA Group’s non-life risks (attritional, atypical, Nat Cat, Man-Made), using advanced analytical tools to assess company’s financial position
· Performing actuarial studies related to reinsurance structuring, pricing, and underwriting decision support
This position offers great visibility in non-life reinsurance operations, through a wide variety of technical subjects that are significant for the AXA Group.
YOUR PROFILE

Who You Are:
· As a data science, actuarial or engineering student, you have a keen interest in programming and statistical methods.
· You are meticulous, curious, and enjoy working both in a team and independently.
· Knowledge of a programming language (R or Python, knowledge of R shiny would be a plus)
· Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite
· You have an interest in the insurance/reinsurance sector.
