The objective of the Sales Engineer role is to support the
Your Responsibilities:
· Develop relationships within existing customer base as well as establishing relationships with new customers
· Supporting Key Account Managers with execution of strategic development plans in a pro-active manner
· Liaising with other AVL affiliates and clients
· Quotation development
· Identify new business opportunities for AVL
Desired profile
Your Profile:
· Essential:
· Technical education (degree level or above)
· Ability to prepare project proposals, present to customer and conduct follow up negotiation
· A proactive approach with the ability to pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships with colleagues from all cultures
· Highly customer focused and able to solve customer related issues to mutual satisfaction
· Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
· Planning, prioritising and coordinating workload independently with minimal guidance
· Appreciation of future challenges faced by customers and ability to identify how AVL can support customers to solve them
· Willingness to travel
· Preferable:
· Previous experience of engineering projects in the automotive industry
· Sales experience (either studies or professional)
· German language skills would be beneficial
· Knowledge of AVL's product and service offerings and the types of projects undertaken by AVL Powertrain Engineering
· Experience with sales tools and software, for example Salesforce.com, SharePoint etc.
