Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.” The Project Engineer I – (Transmission Controls) will be responsible for software requirements and confirmation of these requirements with the customer, developing control algorithms/software, debugging, validation testing, and integration. This is a unique opportunity to work on a world class control system solutions. Each week there is time set aside for R&D projects in Plymouth, MI where the team strives to create new and innovative technologies for the overall advancement of the company.
Your Responsibilities:
· TheThe successful candidate will join the Controls & Systems team which is responsible for requirements development, architecture design, control system development, system integration and V&V testing.
· Powertrain technologies supporting by this team include: Engine, Transmission, Driveline, Electrified Powertrain elements (e-machine, battery), and Aftertreatment.
· The specific roles of a Project Engineer I in this effort include:
· Plans and performs Controls Software Development and other relevant engineering project work within the project team as required.
· Works on all phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, powertrain testing, data analysis and validation.
· Supports/ensures data quality and writes technical project reports.
Desired profile
Your Profile:
· Experience and Education
· 2 years' experience in area of expertise
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related field required
· Technical
· Functional knowledge in the following areas:
· Transmission and Driveline Control
· Powertrain Controls Software Development Tools Methods
· Relational
· Working effectively with customers and other program staff and team members
· Accountability for individual delivery
· Effective communication with all levels of the organization
