Calibration
The AVL calibration department are seeking a highly motivated individual to support vehicle air path & transient controller development activities. The role will require the applicant to develop & optimise engine calibrations to meet customer hardware & performance targets during all driving & climatic conditions.
Your Responsibilities:
· Planning, preparation and execution of a vehicle testing program
· Air path & transient controller calibration development & sign off
· Analysis of results and preparation of recommendations
· Support of in chamber development and validation on development trips
· Delivery of calibrations to meet project milestones
Desired profile
Your Profile:
· Essential:
· BEng in Mechanical/Automotive or related Engineering discipline
· Experience within the automotive industry
· Good working knowledge of EMS and related tools and software
· Excellent inter-personnel and communication skills
· Proven project management skills
· Capable of working independently as well as part of large and small teams
· Preferable:
· Masters or PhD in specific subject area preferred
· Experience of co-ordinating and executing tests on vehicle and in vehicle based facilities
· Knowledge of Air Path (Boost, EGR) calibration
· Knowledge of Combustion engine fundamentals
· Knowledge of data analysis tools such as AVL Concerto or equivalent
· Understanding of worldwide vehicle emissions legislation
