Our engineers work with leading edge tools and technologies to help our customers develop world class products. We develop our people to be experts in both the underlying powertrain technologies and the tools that enable their development. In this role you will be responsible for completing AVL DRIVE appraisals and benchmarking for all vehicle and powertrain derivatives. Your objective will be to ensure that all target criteria are met and that the vehicle and powertrain deliver all attributes. The role involves planning, preparation and execution of vehicle based tests, assessment and documentation of test results and delivery and presentation of reports. You may also be required to participate in vehicle test development trips.

Your Responsibilities:
·  Planning and execution of a vehicle development program
·  Vehicle assessment in various conditions including extreme ambient temperature and high altitude
·  Analysis of results and preparation of recommendations
·  Prepare suggestions for driveability calibration improvements and updates
·  Liaison and reporting to various functions within the organisation Annual Remuneration:

Desired profile

Your Profile:
·  Essential:
·  BEng in Mechanical/Automotive or related Engineering discipline
·  Masters or PhD in specific subject area preferred
·  Experience within the automotive industry
·  Good working knowledge of EMS and related tools and software
·  Excellent inter-personnel and communication skills
·  Proven project management skills
·  Capable of working independently as well as part of large and small teams
·  Preferable:
·  Experience of co-ordinating and executing tests on vehicle and in vehicle based facilities
·  Knowledge of Driveability calibration
·  Knowledge of Combustion engine fundamentals
·  Knowledge of data analysis tools such as AVL Concerto or equivalent
·  Understanding of worldwide vehicle emissions legislation
